Hints to version 6.1 The latest Version of SoundPLAN is version 6.1. Version 6.0 marked a big step of development, the file structure of the Geo-Files of the Geo-Database changed. Prior to version 6 attribute data was stored directly in an attribute database, the Geo-files only contained references to this database. In this version of the program it was not possible to copy files from one project to another without corrupting the database. With version 6.0 the attributes and the coordinates are stored in the same file, therefore it is possible to move files from project to project. As a consequence projects from version 6 on are not downwards compatible. Projects from version 5 will open in version 6, the files are automatically be rewritten to suit the new data structure, however the transfer is only implemented in one direction.

Version 6.1 has a number of extensions beyond the capabilities of version 6 largely for the EU noise mapping. See the changes of version 6.1.
