Data Exchange
Data are the most expensive commodity for computer aided design. To allow SoundPLAN users access to this resource, several data interfaces are available.
| ASCII data | Flexible interface to import most "raw" data | simple data | imports possible in multiple program locations |
| DXF data | AUTOCAD and other construction data | import coordinates of complete objects | one file can contain multiple different object types |
| GIS data | Data from Geographical Information Systems | import coordinates and attributes of complete objects | each file can only contain a single object type, the object definition is stored so the definitions of the attribute matching table needs to be done only once. |
