City Noise Map
The City Noise Map is an innovative way to calculate noise maps in cities. Instead of locating receivers on a rectangular grid, receivers are arranged on a triangulation of the area. Many recievers are placed in areas where the noise field has big changes. In areas far away from sources, buildings and barriers, the program uses less receivers. City Noise Map provides a higher grade of contours in narrow city streets without calculating the entire city with a super fine grid. It provides better accuracy and a better calculation time. The City Noise Map is not a module of its own, but is automatically included when the SoundPLAN license contains both Grid Noise Map and Facade Noise Map.
