Expert System for Industry Noise
Use Expert System
for Industry Noise
to find
the most cost effective noise control concept and document
your findings.
Enter the model in the Geo-database, calculate the status quo in the
Calculations, open the Expert
System to optimize the industrial noise control to ensure
the best value for the invested resources,
and prepare an advanced documentation in the Expert System.
Store the noise control concept and add
it to other calculation runs to show
variants with and without noise
control.

Module requirements:

The receiver list and source list are always visible. The other windows can be activated in the one row or the additional rows at any time.

The middle part of the table above shows detail information for the active source and receiver. This information includes the time history of sources and levels at the receiver, frequency distributions of the sound power at the source, and the contribution or the level at the receiver.

The contribution plot for a given receiver shows how the noise levels will sum up if they are sorted so that the most quiet source contribution is on the right side and every additional source in the diagram is louder than the last. By simply looking at the diagram, it becomes clear that noise control needs to start on the left side of the diagram, not with the more quiet sources on the right side.
The Optimization
After entering noise control options for each source,
run the optimization.
This will show which noise control option
is the most cost effective. On line
changes are accounted for
immediately.

The green line in the above diagram shows the status with noise control and the red line shows the status without noise control. The selected measures are visible in an additional list:
